Michael Alan Bradberry serves as the Major for the Texas Highway Patrol, Texas Department of Public Safety in the Northeast Texas Region. Major Bradberry currently oversees the administrative,operational law enforcement and security activities of the Texas Highway Patrol throughout 42 counties in Northeast Texas.
Major Bradberry began his career with DPS in 1994 as a Highway Patrol Trooper stationed in Orange and transferred to his hometown of Pineland in 1995. In May of 2000, Bradberry promoted to Sergeant and transferred to the Liberty duty station and in 2001,transferred to Jasper. He then promoted to Lieutenant, and in September of 2003, transferred to Tyler. Major Bradberry promoted to Captain in 2004 and transferred to Waco. Bradberry served as Captain in Waco and Beaumont, as well as the Department’s Office of Inspector General as it was being formed in 2010. In September of 2011, Bradberry promoted to Major and was assigned to El Paso, and later transferred to Garland.
Bradberry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin University in 1993. Bradberry also graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2009, Session #238.
